Bunny Lines In London
The lines at the dorsal and lateral aspects of the nose are called Bunny lines. They are seen typically running diagonally over the side walls of nose and nasal bridge. People usually have more than one line at a time. The underlying nasalis muscle contraction produces these lines. We refer to the term ‘Bunny Lines’ due to the wrinkled and twitchy nose of rabbits.
As we age the lines tend to form naturally due to smiling, frowning, laughing and the other facial expressions that we perform. Bunny lines may be accentuated by Botulinum toxin treatments in the upper face for frown lines and crow’s feet. Likewise, as the lines increase they become more noticeable and for some people even deeper into their skin.
Botulinum toxin allows the lines to appear less visible and relaxes the muscles in your face decreasing the amount of movement we use within the problem muscle helping you create a natural radiant rejuvenated look.
The effect of treatment lasts for 3 – 4 months. A repeat treatment will be required when the underlying muscle begin to contract, prior to lines returning to their pre-treatment expression.
